Yoga; a Way Back to Myself
What began as a physical practice became a path home.
My first yoga class was in 2014. I don’t remember the exact date or poses, but I remember how I felt—like I had come home to my body after a long hiatus. There was a breath I didn’t know I’d been holding. And when I let it go, something shifted.
Yoga, for me, quickly became more than movement. It became a space of reconnection. A way to listen in, to make room for emotions I hadn’t been taught how to sit with. It reminded me, again and again, where I am, who I am, what I feel.
In 2020, I deepened my practice by spending time at an ashram. Immersed in quiet, nature, and simplicity, I integrated the lessons from my teacher certification.
I realized that yoga is more than a physical and mental practice—it's about bringing energy, rhythm, and ritual into everyday life and cultivating a mindful presence.
Whether I'm on my own mat or guiding others, the focus is on feeling the movements and the flow, not on performance.
It's about noticing where tenderness and truth arise and holding space for the full human experience,- with compassion.
